Underdriven
Written by Brian Meyerdirk

I hate to see you on the run, 'cause of the awful things I've done
giving up just makes no sense, I've given all in my defense
and all the pictures on the walls, and all the times that we've held on
don't make up for all my flaws, and will not plug the holes I've caused

I know that you don't hate me, and I know that we can't be
and I know that I can't give you, your serenity

When I see you aiming towards the door, I'd try to pretend that we had more
but we both know it won't work, cause I'm a liar and a jerk
you tried to look the other way, tried to pretend that there's no pain
but that pain has brought the scars, that left the lesions on our hearts

I know that you don't hate me, and I know that we can't be
and I know that I can't give you, your serenity

On and on I sit and daydream, and how it was supposed to be
and how it'll come out of the works, and rescue me, rescue me

I know that you don't hate me, and I know that we can't be
and I know that I can't give you, your serenity
